SE: I just want to thank you all for being here at my first official event as Chancellor at Appalachian State.

SE: What advice would you give me on my first day?

SE: Mike? Hi. It's Sheri Everts, the chancellor at Appalachian State University.

SE: It's incredibly exciting. It's wonderful to be in Boone on this gorgeous summer day.

David Jackson: We have had a fantastic day today as we've ushered in a brand new era, not only for Appalachian athletics, but as a campus we've also ushered in a brand new era. Please join me in welcoming our brand new chancellor, Dr. Sheri Everts.

SE: The move to the Sun Belt Conference means more opportunities for our student-athletes, and that is exactly what they are - students first. Go Mountaineers.
